A Lonely Grub
The Screaming Hills is an island where one expects great thrill. For Wormwood, this was just another Tuesday. Every time there are visitors he's serving them on the counter like a routine that has been ingrained into his mind.
Where time passes so slowly, he prepares for the best. And probably the worst.

Mmmm...Okay, let's see what we're missing.
Creature Comforts were his specialty. When he's not out there trying to contain the Prisoner and such, his side job lies in special little plushies. They're meant to calm the mind, the soul.
At least, that's what he swears by.

Casperpillar...check...Wilmore...check...
Inside these toys were aliens. Tiny little aliens that absorb one's anxieties. You keep them in a pillow and you're bound for a good rest.
It's only when they grow into something else do you start to worry. And Wormwood never has to worry too much.

Yeah, I think everything's complete.

Oh, hey. Didn't see you there.
When he first started his business, it was to help. Everyone wants to help in this world, where faults are rooted deep in the mind.
Like many other instances where one tries to give aid, this business falls short for one reason.

What can I do for you, buddy?
???
A Young Man
One Wil...Wilmore? Wilmore...please!

You got it.
Lucky for him, nobody has picked up on that reason so far.
Good intentions will always be on his mind, but the execution is bound to fall into the worst case scenario. After all, these plushies that can bring good sleep...
...Can also remind of the most awful memories you can have.

Don't forget to read the tag. You'll need it.
And when the day ends, he closes shop, and looks at the remaining stock with weary eyes.
How could he sell toys knowing what they could do to people?
If the good outweighs the bad, there shouldn't be a problem right? That was what he told himself.
Wormwood sighs, and hugs a particular plush. This one wasn't quite his favorite, but it's to keep up those good vibes. He's tired. He can't help it.
Wormwood
Forever Grub
...Hope you can keep up.
He tells the plush, and tells himself at the same time.
That loneliness in his heart will have to expose itself someday.
