Every day, Raccoon prepares the room that he and Gubo reside in.
Housework, to most people, can be such a chore. He was not someone exempted from such feelings of boredom.
He does it anyway for plenty of reasons.
Some of them involving their entire lives.

Hah...He left early again.
Raccoon gets to work. He makes the bed, and organizes his lover's desk. Papers with readings worth millions of ahn, and pieces of tech that he could never truly understand.

I'm getting kind of tired of seeing so much white.

When can I get out of here?
The Outskirts were far less limited. Yet even there he felt an emptiness. As boring as it all was to him, he knew he'd come out eventually.
Shifts in this Wing tend to vary, especially with Gubo, who is summoned when necessary.
Entire nights can pass without him in his own room.

And when that happens, he tries his best not to look haggard, though the dark circles can be seen through his glasses.
Raccoon wishes he could hug him every time. His hands fiddle, but never hold.

I arranged everything like you taught me to.

We're running out of tea, but I can always grab more if you'd like.

No need. I am too tired for tea.
Gubo only goes far enough to remove his shoes and glasses, setting them aside before his body falls right onto the bed.

Raccoon tilts his head at that. How could people in this City live when even someone with a high-paying job could be driven to overworking oneself?

He does not hesitate, crawling underneath the bedsheets, by Gubo's side. His desire to lean closer grows stronger and stronger. Yet, it falls short, as he knew Gubo was not one for affection.
